Chrome Diopside

Chrome Diopside belongs to the Diopside family that occurs in a variety of colors, the green color is the most common form.  But the most famous and valuable one is the deep green Chrome Diopside form, deep green color combined with transparency give a stone more value. Natural Chrome diopside gemstone is similar to emerald but much less priced.

Chrome Diopside in limited quantity is available in several localities, but a large commercially exploitable deposit discovered in Siberia in 1988. Pakistan is one of the signficant producers of Chrome Diopside.  Chrome Diopside is a gemstone that has intense forest-green color. Its hardness according to the Mohs scale is: 5-6.
