Blue opal (Peruvian)

             Blue opal (Peruvian) is rare gemstone that is only found in the Andes Mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a very translucent stone. Its color is similar to the Caribbean Sea.


            The hardness to this gemstone according to the Mohs scale ranges between 5.5 and 6.5.
